The stars align at GM TEN

Keen on green (cars that is), the stars came out for a night of fashion, cars and entertainment at GM TEN. Jennifer Hudson, Grey's Anatomy star Katherine Heigl, and Christina Milan among others heated up the runway in designer duds while paired with a sleek GM vehicle. Celebs weren't confined to the runway. Yes, that's Demi and Ashton in the audience alongside Penelope Cruz. The red carpet also saw some of Hollywood's favorite faces, including Leah Remini, Dancing with the Stars' Stacy Keibler, and Bruce Willis. But the real stars of the night were the eco-friendly vehicles like the Saturn VUE Greenline Hybrid and the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid on parade.

To me, this makes sense. Cars are fashion items these days, anyway, and fashion items often need celebrity pushes. GM has always done well with these events, and since the company (post-Lutz-hiring) understands cars better these days, I don’t think they detract from the products too much.
Been trying to get Katherine for a while though, but our schedules never worked out. Grrr.

cadillac escalade hybrid, give me a break. what does it get, 25mpg instead of 12? what is the point? get a LITTLE car with a hybrid engine and get 50 mpg, then get back to me. unless you have 4 kids or need it for business, you do not need a frickin large vehicle.

That is a point. It does annoy me when I see Suburbans with one person inside. Even those with larger families: they can’t tell me that a Dodge Caravan isn’t sufficient.

I don't know why, but I really want to take a Saturn Vue out for a test drive. I think the Vue is cool looking and not too large. There's a Saturn dealer not far from my home and every time I go by there, I want to stop and look. But I can't afford another car now so I'd just be wasting their time.

Glad you enjoyed. We're doing a 180 and heading to a racing event this weekend in Atlanta to support Team Chevy. We're taking a new crew member along with us. Should be interesting! The footage will be on the site this weekend.
